A pivotal moment in Oshmabel’s history was the dual invasion from the northeast. The first wave struck with a horde of magically empowered monsters, followed by a devastating second wave of undead. These attacks ravaged the town’s northeastern expansion, an area left vulnerable due to its lack of protective walls at the time. It was later discovered that the assault was orchestrated by a vengeful wizard, banished from the Silverspell Conclave for his dark practices, who sought to devastate and loot the city.

Oshmabel’s defenders, comprising the city guard and armed citizens, managed to repel the first wave, though at a great cost. The epicenter of the monster attack was in what is now known as the Haunted Bank District, where many brave defenders lost their lives. The battlefield was left littered with the remains of these monstrous creatures, serving as a grim reminder of the day. Anticipating further attacks, Oshmabel urgently called for reinforcements from Novawindë.
